The three most common turtles found off the coast of Puerto Rico are the leatherback, hawksbill, and green turtles. The juveniles live and feed on the coral reefs and seagrass beds that surround the island. Females will come onto the beach every couple of years to nest their eggs in the sands and tall grasses that line the coastal sands. Over the years, the populations of these three species of turtles have declined greatly. With this bracelet, you can show your Puerto Rican pride as well as your support for our graceful sea turtles.
